As Event Professionals, it’s in our nature to meet, be social, and connect with others. Last month, PCMA Canada West did just that, in a way we never expected – we held our monthly networking and education event, Cold Drinks, Hot Topics, virtually.

Another Zoom Meeting?

We know that the Zoom fatique is REAL, and we’re so lucky to be a part of such an engaged and passionate community of Event Profs  who logged into Zoom for the 2nd (… or 3rd… or 4th… or 8th) time that day. It was so great to connect with our community for a fun game of Kahoot, Drink Competition, and networking.

After opening announcements, PCMA Canada West’s Director of Sponsorship, Jeromy Gilchrist, led us in a nail biting round of Canada West Event Trivia (with some fun bonus questions). Lanie Collins of Nicola Wealth, surpassed Anh Nugyen, of Events by Spark, in the final few rounds to take home the prize, a $50.00 gift card for Skip The Dishes.

Grant Sceney, Creative Beverage Director at Botanist, Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel, shared his take on the classic smash, the Spring Smash! Many of our members joined in, and showed off their cocktail skills. From margaritas to mules – we loved seeing your creative beverages!

Let’s Do it Again! 

Join us for the second virtual edition of our popular networking series “Cold Drinks, Hot Topics” on Wednesday, May 20th. This month, we are challenging your movie trivia prowess while allowing you to kick back with the PCMA Canada West community and take a break from your day to day stress and challenges.

We invite you to get involved by dressing as your favorite actor/actress or movie character and set your Zoom background to a dramatic movie scene (hint – there will be a prize).

Pour your favorite cocktail or mocktail and get your game face on to win fun prizes!

In lieu of registration fees, we are asking members to donate at their own discretion to The PCMA Industry Relief Fund.
