Do you and your team have what it takes to impress the Sparks?

Participants will team up in groups after the days break out sessions to put all of the tactics and information they have just learned to use. Each team will pitch their ideas to a panel of experts – the “Sparks“. This will be an engaging and exciting group activity where only the best event idea will survive!

12:00 – 12:30 Registration & Networking
Check in with us in the foyer of the Arbutus Ballroom, Level 3 of the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver and grab a seat. Get to know your table as you will be working together in Spark Tank Round 1!

12:30 – 13:45 Lunch + Spark Tank Round 1 – Arbutus Room
*A working sandwich lunch will be provided.

Based on the hit TV show Shark Tank you will be given the chance to present your best ideas to four meetings and events titans who represent key industry associations. In a workshop-style session, groups will be presented with a current industry challenge and will work together to come up with their best solutions. Solutions will be then presented to the panelists for their feedback.

Let’s get creative! Your idea “professors” will inspire you to revitalize your event design process by guiding you to change your mindset right at the beginning. We will work together to come up with creative ideas that you will be able to bring back to your workplace and enhance your programs with.

Award-winning event producer and creativity guru, Tahira Endean, will share with you her secrets on how she manages to stay on top of trends and how to find new ways to think “outside the box”. She will lead you in a discussion on the importance of planning with intention.

It’s time for us to have a real conversation surrounding industry pain points – what better atmosphere to do so than around a campfire! Our industry leading panelists will join us in a hot topic discussion based on what you want to talk about!

Industry leaders from PCMA, Meeting Means Business Canada, and IAPCO will share the latest news updates from the meetings world. This is also a great opportunity for you to ask them questions and discover ways that we can work together to make our industry better! Leadership Round Table will be followed by another round of Spark Tank!
